About Me
My stats:

*I live in Baltimore (but am from Pittsburgh originally. GO STEELERS!)

I began my natural journey in the summer of 2006, when I did my big chop. By late 2007, I was exasperated, tired of fighting with my hair, and ready for something new, that did not include braids or a sew-in...so I went back to the creamy crack! I got relaxed in August and October of 2007 and never turned back...I love having flowing locks (please believe), but I figured I would buy someone else's hair before I messed up my own...and that's just what I do. I wear my fro and twists, but I also wear wigs and full weaves. For the past year, my hair has been in braids, in a weave, or braided under a wig cap. My hair has responded to its well-deserved respite and has grown wonderfully! I couldn't love it more. (Pics forthcoming!)
The people at my job never know what I'll do next with my hair...but it always works...
My goal is to grow my hair's length so that when/if I decide to straighten it, it will flow, have bounce, and be thick.
In order to keep my hands out of my hair (which will keep me from cutting it out of frustration), I simply put it away in a style that is festive, and won't go old (I'm telling you...get on the wig deal if you like to change it up, but don't want to get a relaxer).
This time around, I have the help of a wonderful stylist who gives me tips on styles, products, and the proper mechanisms to keep my hair natural while growing it...Just because you're natural does not insure growth...hair only grows when it's HEALTHY! Eat your vitamins, drink water, exercise and sleep regularly. Your hair and body will love you for it!

Happy

I used to go to a church called Southern Star, but I haven't been to church in a while. The next time I go, I plan to go to St. Stephens this time.
