I made a youtube account just for fun, currently I have a silly video up there, but I'm thinking about talking about black hair to encourage women to embrace their texture.

17 year old highschool junior... I've always been natural, my journey has mostly been about accepting my texture whereas before I would blowdry/straighten it everyday without washings...I did this for many years--throughout middle school and the first 2 years of highschool. I accepted my texture around late May 2006 and decided that I wasn't born with straight hair and I shouldn't act like it.

Hair facts aside: I'm currently very health/goal oriented and try to do the best at everything I can and stay healthy!

Music
I listen to all kinds of music except music that makes me feel crummy or ill. Classical music and new age music probably makes me feel the best, and I loove MJ's oldies.
Movies
I love black and white films, but I'm mostly into movies like As Good As It Gets and Something's Gotta Give just because of the acting.
Books
I like a lot of books... currently I'm reading The Power of Now, I also enjoyed Sanford Meisner on Acting--oh and the movie documentation as well. I have a lot of new age books, most consisting of astrology or astral projection. I love pretty much every book we've read in my AP class, curently we're reading Song of Solomon--a bit graphic but it's intresting, I also like The Grapes of Wrath, The Great Gatsby, amd many others I can usually get into just about anything as long as it is written by a good writer with a somewhat meaningful purpose even if that purpose is to entertain.
