ABOUT AFRO GLITZ
Originally known as Nappy Star, Miss Gee launched what's now known as "Afro Glitz" to the public in February of 2007. It was the first website catering to naturals that used a social networking script. However, it didn't come to life until awesome members came along to make the website great. Although we zoom in on naturally coily and kinky hair, we are more than just a hair site, providing a magazine, daily blog network, and other sections that zoom in on topics like art, entertainment, love, life, and health and much more.

MAGAZINE
Being that women who look like us get little to no recognition in the mainstream magazines on a regular basis, the magazine segment of Afro Glitz was launched in April of 2009 to help change that. In this magazine, we're not afraid to speak our minds in our articles because we know that it's impossible to please everyone. We zoom in on topics that our community needs to be more aware of, are afraid of confronting, or may never have heard of. We also expand knowledge as to what's going outside the world of Afro Glitz, exposing our readers to other cultures and ways of thinking.

We're dedicated to giving talented people their well deserved shine. Although we love "big names" and "no names" all the same, we're not like the typical magazines that's plastered with celebrities. Rather than engaging ourselves in cashing in on a celebrity's downfall or any other type of celebrity gossip, we tend to focus more on everyday people.

Afro Glitz doesn't believe in following the blueprint of our counterparts; we build our own instead. Constantly growing, Afro Glitz will strive to provide members with quality features.

Remember: There's only one Afro Glitz.
